What it does
This is the official Atlassian MCP server that connects to Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Bitbucket, Compass, Loom, and Rovo on Atlassian Cloud. It uses your Teamwork Graph to give AI tools secure access to search, create, and manage work across Atlassian products.
- Search and retrieve information from Jira issues, Confluence pages, and Compass components to answer questions about your projects and documentation.
- Create and update Jira issues or Jira Service Management requests from natural language descriptions.
- Query your Teamwork Graph to find connections and context across your organization's Atlassian tools.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| jira_search | Search for issues in Jira |
| jira_create_issue | Create a new issue in Jira |
| confluence_search | Search for pages and content in Confluence |
| compass_search | Search for components in Compass |
| jsm_create_request | Create a service request in Jira Service Management |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
