What it does
Zerodrop-mcp provides AI agents with disposable email inboxes for handling email verification workflows. It automatically extracts OTPs and magic links from received emails, allowing agents to complete signup and authentication flows without manual email parsing.
- Test end-to-end authentication flows by having an agent generate an inbox, use it for signup, retrieve OTP codes, and verify accounts automatically.
- Run QA automation with Playwright tests that need real email inboxes to complete signup and verification steps.
- Enable autonomous workflows to work through email-verification barriers by automatically detecting and extracting OTPs or magic links from incoming messages.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| generate_inbox | Creates a disposable email address with an optional prefix, returning the inbox address and a live watch URL. |
| wait_for_email | Blocks until a matching email arrives and returns it with extracted OTP and magic link fields, supporting filters by sender, subject, and required content type. |
| check_inbox | Returns a non-blocking snapshot of recent emails in the inbox with extracted OTP and magic link fields, or an empty list if no emails are present. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
This server has not seen a commit in 2 mo. It may still work, but nobody is currently fixing it — check the alternatives before you build on it.
