What it does
News Volume MCP provides access to article volume trends and growth metrics across 30+ news and social sources including Google, TikTok, YouTube, Amazon, and Reddit. It is for developers building AI agents that need to track what topics are trending and how search or discussion volume is changing over time.
- Track how search volume for a topic has grown on specific platforms over the past week, month, or year.
- Find out what is currently trending on a platform without specifying a keyword.
- Compare volume trends for the same keyword across multiple sources like Google Search, TikTok, and Amazon to see where interest is highest.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| get_time_series | Retrieve historical article or search volume data for a keyword on a single source. |
| get_growth | Get percent change for a keyword over multiple time windows (7 days to 5 years) in one call. |
| get_top_trends | Fetch the currently trending topics on a platform without requiring a keyword. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
