What it does
MCP server for ssid.ai that exposes manufacturer-cited router default credentials, regulatory compliance checks, and MAC/OUI vendor lookups. Intended for security researchers, network administrators, and AI agents that need factual, source-linked router login data without relying on training-data snapshots.
- Look up the factory default gateway IP, username, and password for a specific router model, with the manufacturer's source URL included.
- Check whether a router model ships a universal default password and whether it passes or fails UK PSTI and EU CRA compliance rules.
- Resolve a MAC address to its hardware vendor, with detection of randomized/private MAC addresses used by modern mobile devices.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| get_router_defaults | Returns the manufacturer-cited factory login details for a router model, including default IP, username, password, credential type, and reset steps, identified |
| check_router_compliance | Returns whether a router model uses a universal default password and how it is rated against UK PSTI and EU CRA regulatory requirements. |
| lookup_mac | Resolves a MAC address to its OUI vendor organization, and identifies whether the address is universal, randomized, multicast, or invalid. |
| submit_correction | Queues a proposed correction to a router model's credential data for manual verification against a provided manufacturer source URL. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
