What it does
MCP server that exposes the Shiftyasan shift-scheduling solver API, allowing AI agents to generate optimized work shift schedules. It lets you validate scheduling inputs, run the solver for small to large problems, and poll asynchronous jobs. This server is for developers integrating shift scheduling into AI applications, though a remote hosted version is now the recommended option.
- Validate shift scheduling requirements (employee availability, constraints, demand) before solving to catch configuration errors early.
- Generate optimized shift schedules by submitting staffing demand, employee availability, and fairness rules to the solver.
- Poll long-running scheduling jobs asynchronously when solving problems with many employees or complex constraints.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| validate_shift_input | Validate a shift scheduling request payload against the API schema without running the solver. |
| solve_shift | Submit a shift scheduling problem to the solver; returns results immediately for small/medium problems or a job ID for async polling on larger problems. |
| get_solve_job | Poll the status of an asynchronous scheduling job until it completes or fails. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
