What it does

Serve exposes tools to create and manage public URLs for local services and files through Claude or other MCP clients. It lets you share what you're building—whether running on your machine or stored on Serve's servers—by asking your AI agent to do it.

  • Share a local web app or dashboard with a colleague by asking Claude to serve it, getting a live URL that reflects changes as you work.
  • Store a static file or built artifact on Serve's servers so the link stays active even after you close your laptop.
  • Protect a shared link with a password and set an expiration time, then revoke access immediately if needed.

Tools this server exposes

ToolDoes
create_linkCreate a public URL for a local service or file, choosing whether it runs live from your machine or stays on Serve's servers.
protect_linkAdd a password to an existing link (Pro tier) with configurable expiration.
revoke_linkTake down a link and prevent further access.
list_linksView all active links you are currently sharing.
custom_subdomainRequest a specific readable subdomain for a link instead of a random name (Pro tier).

Before you enable it

An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
