What it does
This MCP server exposes tools to audit, scaffold, and triage agent intent specifications against a 9-section template. It helps development teams identify underspecified agent intent before deployment by scoring specs against a 25-item rubric and recommending improvements.
- Audit an existing agent intent specification to identify gaps in clarity, stop rules, or outcome definition before the agent runs in production.
- Generate a new intent spec scaffold for a blank spec or existing prompt to ensure consistent structure and completeness from the start.
- Assess how much refactoring an older prompt or document would need to meet the full intent-engineering standard.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| audit_intent_spec | Grades a specification against a 25-item rubric, returns per-section findings, detects anti-patterns, and recommends top 3 improvements. |
| generate_intent_spec_scaffold | Generates a paste-ready YAML scaffold for a new intent spec, optionally tailored by kind (blank, level-1-mvr, or full-9-section). |
| assess_retrofit_level | Evaluates an existing prompt or document and recommends a retrofit level (L1, L2, or L3) with reasoning on blast radius, complexity, and autonomy impact. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
