What it does
A read-only MCP server that exposes Google Sheets as queryable structured data. Connect any sheet from your Google Drive to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Claude Code using OAuth—no setup required beyond pasting a URL.
- Ask Claude to summarize or filter rows from a Google Sheet in plain English without writing queries.
- Let an AI agent analyze data across multiple tabs and sheets in your workspace.
- Query sheets with filters, partial text matching, full-text search, and sorting without touching the Google Sheets API directly.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| list_sheets | Discover sheets in your workspace and retrieve their IDs. |
| list_tabs | List all tabs in a sheet and identify the default tab. |
| get_schema | Read column names, aliases, and data types before querying. |
| query_rows | Retrieve rows with support for filtering, partial matching, full-text search, sorting, and pagination. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
