What it does
Nimrod is an MCP server that provides Google search with quality scoring, webpage content extraction, and multi-source research synthesis for AI agents. It is aimed at developers building agents with Claude that need reliable, token-efficient web research without raw HTML or SEO noise.
- Run a Google search and receive results ranked by authority and source-type classification rather than raw SEO output.
- Extract clean markdown content from one or multiple URLs concurrently, stripping boilerplate from pages.
- Perform end-to-end topic research in a single call that searches, deduplicates, extracts, and synthesizes information from multiple sources.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| google_search | Returns organic Google search results with quality scores, authority ratings, and source-type classification. |
| extract_webpage_content | Fetches a single URL and returns its content as clean markdown with boilerplate removed. |
| extract_multiple_webpages | Fetches up to 5 URLs concurrently and returns each as clean markdown. |
| research_topic | Performs a full research pipeline—search, rank, deduplicate, extract, and synthesize—in one call. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
