What it does

Muffed exposes verified NFL statistics (520 metrics, 2016–2025) and Sleeper fantasy league data through a read-only HTTP MCP server. Each figure is returned with its source rank, population size, attribution, and as-of date. It is aimed at developers and AI client users who want current, ranked NFL stats without relying on model training data.

  • Retrieve ranked NFL player or team metrics such as EPA splits, CPOE, or rushing yards over expectation for a given season.
  • Check whether a specific statistic an AI has already stated is correct by running it through the verify_claim tool against the verified data panel.
  • Load a Sleeper fantasy league's roster, standings, and matchup context alongside verified player stats to inform lineup decisions.

Tools this server exposes

ToolDoes
get_current_insightsReturns what Muffed considers currently verified and notable about the NFL, with evidence and dates.
query_stat_leadersReturns league leaders on a specified verified metric, each accompanied by the rank its source assigned.
get_entity_metricsReturns all verified figures Muffed holds for a single player or team.
compare_entitiesPlaces two players or two teams side by side on the metrics both share.
get_metric_definitionReturns what a metric measures and the seasons for which data actually exists.
list_metricsLists all metrics that can be queried, including their keys and season coverage, without returning figures.
verify_claimChecks a stated figure against the verified panel and returns whether it is confirmed, wrong, or unverifiable.
get_backfieldReturns the backup depth behind a starting running back, or the replacement if the starter is injured.
run_stat_queryComputes a figure on request (superlatives, streaks, derived rates) and labels it computed rather than verified, with method and population noted.
sleeper_find_leaguesReturns the Sleeper leagues associated with a given username.
sleeper_get_leagueReturns a Sleeper league's configuration including teams, scoring format, roster slots, and managers.
sleeper_matchup_previewReturns verified NFL context for both sides of a specified Sleeper matchup.
sleeper_roster_storiesReturns each player on a Sleeper roster along with verified metrics for that player.
sleeper_standings_storyReturns the current standings for a Sleeper league derived from its roster records.

Before you enable it

An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
