What it does
Moonlora provides moon phase data, illumination percentages, moon signs, and moonrise/moonset times for any coordinates. It computes data for dates from 1900–2100 using the Meeus algorithm and is designed for developers building applications that need lunar information.
- Retrieve the moon phase, illumination level, and next full/new moon date for a specific date.
- Get all full moons or new moons for a given year with their exact UTC times and traditional names.
- Calculate moonrise and moonset times for a specific location and date by providing latitude and longitude.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| get_moon_phase | Returns the moon phase, illumination percentage, moon sign, and next full/new moon for a given date, with optional moonrise/moonset times for specified coordina |
| list_full_moons | Returns all full moons in a given year with UTC times, traditional names, and moon signs. |
| list_new_moons | Returns all new moons in a given year with UTC times and moon signs. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
