What it does
A curated directory of MCP servers for film production workflows, searchable by capability and pipeline stage. Exposes the catalog via multiple formats (llms.txt, JSON APIs, markdown, feeds) so agents can discover and plan production stacks.
- Query the directory to find which MCP servers handle video generation, voice synthesis, scoring, or editing for a film project.
- Retrieve production playbooks that recommend a specific stack order with auth gates and failure modes for commercial or open-source workflows.
- Integrate the directory as an MCP server itself to let agents autonomously search, verify links, and discover new servers daily.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| search_directory | Search the curated MCP film server registry by capability, category, or pipeline stage. |
| get_server_details | Retrieve verified information about a specific MCP server including install commands, auth requirements, pricing, and known caveats. |
| get_playbooks | Fetch production playbooks that outline recommended server stacks with setup order and failure modes for different film workflows. |
| get_capabilities_index | List all capabilities (video generation, voice, scoring, editing, etc.) and which servers support each one. |
| get_pulse | Check catalog freshness, newest additions, stale verifications, and category coverage gaps. |
| get_client_profiles | Retrieve setup guidance for running MCP servers with Claude Desktop, Cursor, Claude Code, or remote clients. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
