What it does
Appllama exposes an MCP server that connects AI agents to a design library of top-grossing iOS apps, enabling them to study real screens, flows, and UI patterns before building mobile applications. It provides two agent skills: one for research-driven design decisions and one for building native-quality Expo/React Native screens with simulator verification.
- Study how top-earning apps structure their onboarding flows, paywalls, and checkout experiences, then apply those patterns to your own app design.
- Build a new mobile screen by analyzing similar screens from successful apps in your category, ensuring your design follows established best practices and Apple HIG standards.
- Review and improve an existing app screen by comparing it against how top-grossing apps solve the same problem, with frame-by-frame simulator verification.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| appllama-usage | Research engine that guides agents through the Appllama library to study screens, flows, and UI patterns from top-grossing apps before building. |
| appllama-app-design-skill | Build tool that generates native-feeling Expo/React Native screens with Apple HIG fidelity, semantic colors, native controls, and full-motion simulator verifica |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
