What it does

This MCP server creates and manages Linkonda short links and QR codes. It is for developers who want to generate short links from Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, or other MCP clients without collecting per-visitor tracking data.

  • Shorten URLs individually or in bulk (up to 100 at a time) for sharing in automated workflows.
  • Check redirect counts and quota usage for your links to monitor engagement.
  • Update link destinations or pause/resume links, and delete links you no longer need.

Tools this server exposes

ToolDoes
shorten_linkCreate a short link from a URL. Works without an API key (10 links, 30-day expiry) or with one (permanent, account-saved).
shorten_links_bulkShorten up to 100 URLs in one request. Requires an API key.
list_linksList all your links with their destinations and click counts. Requires an API key.
update_linkChange a link's destination URL or pause and resume it. Requires an API key.
delete_linkPermanently delete a short link. Requires an API key.
get_link_statsGet the total redirect count for a specific link. Works without an API key.
check_quotaCheck how many links you have created versus your plan allowance. Works without an API key.

Before you enable it

An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
