What it does
Just Publish is a remote MCP server that deploys static websites (HTML, CSS, JS, images) to a live public URL without requiring accounts, git, or a build step. It is aimed at non-technical users and AI agents that generate static sites and need them hosted immediately from within a chat interface.
- Deploy a new static site generated by an AI assistant and receive a live public URL in one step.
- Retrieve an existing published site's files using its site_id and edit_token to make targeted edits.
- Update one or more files on a live site in place without a full redeploy, using the edit_token for authentication.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| deploy | Publishes a new static site or fully replaces an existing one, returning the live URL, a site_id, and an edit_token. |
| get_site_files | Reads the files of a published site, requiring site_id and edit_token, so the assistant can inspect content before editing. |
| update_site_file | Merges changes into one or a few files of an existing site without replacing the whole deployment, requiring site_id and edit_token. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
