What it does
This server exposes Instavar's video creation capabilities to Claude and other LLM hosts. It provides free local tools for working with Remotion templates and schemas, plus hosted tools for creating, rendering, approving, and publishing videos when configured with an API key.
- Generate video specs from templates and render videos locally using Remotion without authentication.
- Create and manage video jobs through a hosted workflow that handles rendering, QA approval, and publishing.
- Retrieve job status, engagement metrics, and infrastructure cost summaries for published videos.

| get_cost_summary | Returns infrastructure cost summary for Lambda, RunPod, R2, WaveSpeed, and PoYo. |
| inspect_workflow | Reads the current workflow and its version history. |
| create_video_brief | Creates a job from a structured brief and starts rendering. |
| edit_video_brief | Patches a brief including objective or publishTarget; re-renders unless only publishTarget changed. |
| retry_video_qa | Retries degraded or unavailable QA against the same frozen video artifact. |
| audit_video_qa | Runs an advisory second opinion QA against the same frozen video. |
| regenerate_narration | Regenerates narration and dependent video from the unchanged durable brief. |
| draft_workflow | Stores a complete workflow using the inspected expectedVersion. |
| patch_workflow | Updates workflow configuration. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
