What it does
Munin is an open-source, headless customer platform that exposes CRM, conversations, knowledge base, CMS, outreach, and analytics as MCP tools. Developers can call these tools from any MCP client (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, custom runners) to build customer-facing applications without a traditional admin interface.
- Build an AI agent that answers customer questions by searching a knowledge base and handing off to humans when needed.
- Create outbound campaigns by querying CRM contacts with recorded consent, drafting messages through the outreach tools, and requiring human approval before sending.
- Track customer engagement across your site or app by capturing page views and searches, then linking anonymous visitors to CRM contacts once identified.
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
