What it does
Provides Claude with access to Swiss federal legislation from Fedlex by querying a SPARQL endpoint for metadata and fetching consolidated legal texts from static HTML. Useful for developers and anyone needing to reference Swiss laws, articles, and amendments in German, French, or Italian.
- Look up the text of a specific article in Swiss federal law, such as article 1 of the Civil Code.
- Search for acts by title to find their RS (Classified Compilation) numbers, then retrieve the full legislation.
- Check amendment history and consolidation dates for a given law to understand when it changed.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| search_by_title | Search Swiss federal legislation titles in the Classified Compilation and return matching acts currently in force. |
| get_article | Retrieve the official consolidated text of a specific article from Swiss federal law. |
| get_law_text | Retrieve the full text of an act or a specific section, with automatic pagination for large acts. |
| list_amendments | List recent amendments and consolidation versions for a given act, with optional date filtering. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
