What it does
An MCP client for dvt, a spec-driven data visualization tool. It lets you author, validate, and render dashboards as JSON specs from Claude Code, connecting to either a hosted dvt Gallery or a self-hosted dvt engine.
- Author and edit dvt dashboard specs directly in Claude Code with schema validation.
- Render and preview dashboards against a live dvt instance to verify the design.
- Get critique on dashboard layout, design, and analytical coherence before finalizing.
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
