What it does
This server exposes US public school district and school data to AI assistants via the District API. It enables lookups by address, district ID, school ID, and geographic proximity, with access to enrollment, demographics, and boundary information.
- Find which school district serves a given residential or business address
- Look up enrollment numbers and demographic data for a specific school district
- Discover schools within a certain distance of an address
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| lookup_district_by_address | Find the school district serving a US street address |
| get_district | Retrieve full district profile by NCES LEA ID |
| search_districts | Search for districts by name and/or state |
| get_district_schools | List all schools in a specified district |
| get_school | Get full school profile by NCES school ID |
| find_schools_near_address | Find schools within a radius of an address |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
