What it does
Yarr is an MCP server that provides a unified interface to control and query self-hosted media services like Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr, Plex, and Jellyfin. It exposes consistent tools for agents and CLI operators to manage media automation fleets without learning each service's individual API.
- Query status and perform operations across multiple media services from a single agent interface
- Run multi-step media automation scripts through Code Mode when managing complex workflows
- Operate your media fleet from the CLI with consistent commands that translate to underlying service APIs
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| fleet_status | Check the status of all configured media services |
| service_operations | Execute OpenAPI-backed operations on Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr, Overseerr, Jellyfin, and Plex |
| curated_commands | Run predefined commands for SABnzbd, qBittorrent, Tautulli, Bazarr, and Tracearr |
| code_mode | Execute multi-step media automation scripts |
| snippet_storage | Store and execute repeatable Code Mode workflows |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
