}What it does
DaedalMap is a geographic query engine that converts WGS84 coordinates to administrative loc_id chains and provides geographic reference tools. It is available as a hosted MCP server or can be self-hosted locally, and includes access to 40+ curated data sources covering disasters, demographics, economics, and climate.
- Query earthquake, hurricane, wildfire, or other disaster events for a specific geographic location and time window.
- Join local datasets to maintained geographic reference data by transforming coordinates into stable loc_id values.
- Compare population, economic, health, and disaster context data together in the same geographic query workflow.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| help | Provides guided onboarding and documentation for using DaedalMap tools. |
| get_catalog | Discovers current data packs available in the system. |
| read_geometry_catalog | Returns current geometry coverage information. |
This entry comes from the registry but points to no public repository, so there is nothing to check: no commit history, no source, no tool list. It is listed for completeness and left out of search engines.
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
