What it does
Codenib exposes MCP tools for searching and navigating codebases via a source-linked symbol graph. It builds searchable indexes from repositories with BM25 and graph-based views, enabling coding agents to explore code structure and find context without calling external APIs.
- Search a repository by keyword or symbol to find relevant code files and definitions for context during agent-based coding tasks.
- Navigate code structure through a symbol graph to understand relationships between functions, classes, and modules across the codebase.
- Get ranked search results combined with static code navigation to provide bounded, source-linked context to coding agents.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| codegraph_search | Search the indexed codebase using BM25 and semantic queries to find relevant code and definitions. |
| codegraph_navigate | Explore code structure through the symbol graph to understand relationships and dependencies between code elements. |
| codegraph_context | Retrieve bounded context with source-linked references for a given code location or symbol. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
