}What it does
CallMCP is an MCP server that exposes a unified interface for outbound and inbound telephony across different call providers. It offers 14 tools with identical schemas for calls, SMS, recordings, transcripts, and phone-number management, and works with hosted backends, fully local deployment, or bring-your-own-key setups. It is for developers building agents that need to make calls or send SMS across multiple providers without rewriting code when switching backends.
- Build an agent that makes outbound calls and sends SMS with approval gates and consent tracking built into the protocol.
- Search for, purchase, and configure phone numbers autonomously in production, with x402-funded settlement when required.
- Switch telephony providers (Twilio, Telnyx, local backends) by changing configuration only, without modifying agent code.

Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
This server has not seen a commit in 2 mo. It may still work, but nobody is currently fixing it — check the alternatives before you build on it.
