What it does
The Seeds server (ai.calaf/seeds) exposes the Calaf seed format specification and validator without requiring an account or authentication. It is aimed at developers and AI assistants that need to author or check Calaf workspace seed documents before importing them into the app. It provides two tools mirrored from the main account server, plus the seed format as an MCP resource.
- Fetch the complete calaf_seed format specification to teach an AI assistant how to author a valid seed document.
- Validate a drafted seed file against the exact parser the Calaf app uses, receiving per-section counts and a list of errors or dropped fields before import.
- Use the open HTTP validator endpoint in a CI pipeline or script to check seed files without any MCP client or Calaf account.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| get_seed_format | Returns the full calaf_seed v1 specification as markdown, including section rules, field ceilings, and parser behavior. |
| validate_seed | Runs a seed JSON document through the Calaf import parser and returns validity, per-section counts, and a list of issues with severity and field path. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
