Actvt MCP server
What it does
Actvt is a macOS app that embeds an MCP server, allowing Claude Code and Codex agents to query live system metrics (CPU, GPU, memory, network), listening ports, and AI session history. It is for developers who run AI coding agents locally and want agents to access real-time system state and session data.
- An agent diagnoses why a session is slow by querying CPU, GPU, and thermal history to determine if throttling occurred.
- An agent finds an available port by listing all listening TCP ports and their owning processes, then reclaims one if needed.
- An agent searches through past Claude Code and Codex session transcripts to retrieve context, costs, and token usage from previous work.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| query_system_metrics | Returns live CPU, GPU, memory, network, thermal pressure, uptime, and persisted system history. |
| list_ports | Returns all listening TCP ports and their owning processes. |
| port_kill | Reclaims a listening port by terminating its owning process, with safeguards against protected and system processes. |
| query_agent_sessions | Returns cost and token roll-ups, enables full-text transcript search, error-pattern triage, and provides resume cues for past sessions. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
