What it does
This server queries Certificate Transparency logs to find which certificates have been issued for a hostname, by which certificate authority, and their expiration dates. It is for security professionals, infrastructure teams, and anyone doing domain or brand monitoring who need certificate history and metadata without leaving their AI conversation.
- Check the certificate history of a hostname to verify which certificate authorities have issued for it and when certificates expire.
- Look up a certificate by its fingerprint to see which hostnames and names it covers.
- Monitor whether unauthorized certificate authorities have issued certificates for your domains as part of security or compliance work.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| lookup_certificates | Returns the certificate history for a hostname or the certificate details for a given fingerprint. |
| index_status | Reports the size and freshness of the Certificate Transparency log index. |
| account_quota | Shows remaining allowance against your CTlogs account plan. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
