What it does
MCP server exposing US tariff data, trade statistics, and vessel tracking via AIS. For importers, logistics operators, and analysts who need actual duty payments by origin and commodity since 2017, current HTS classifications, CBP rulings, and real-time container vessel positions at US ports.
- Look up what duties were actually paid on imports from a specific country and HS code to understand landed costs and tariff exposure.
- Check current berthing status and queue times for container vessels at major US gateways to plan drayage and customer deliveries.
- Search and cross-reference US Census trade records against live AIS observations to identify discrepancies or verify trade flow data.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| gateway_conditions | Returns current vessel positions at a US container gateway, classified by type, with berth and anchorage status and terminal assignments. |
| vessel_status | Provides current location, physical state, assigned terminal, and declared destination for a named vessel. |
| has_vessel_berthed | Checks whether a vessel berthed within a specified lookback window and returns timestamps, terminal, and queue wait duration if applicable. |
| recent_events | Returns the event stream of arrivals, anchorings, berthings, departures, and semantic notes for tracked vessels. |
| list_instruments | Enumerates all available data series and instruments with their provenance grade and trust state. |
| describe_series | Explains what a trade data series measures, including unit, source, method, citation, and coverage period. |
| query_series | Returns monthly US port trade data by country and commodity, vessel events, and ETA reliability metrics. |
| check_agreement | Compares US Census customs records against live AIS observations to identify discrepancies between sources. |
| search_series | Finds trade data series by plain-language query such as country of origin, port, or vessel event type. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
