What it does
This server exposes Steam concurrent player trends via the Trends API, allowing you to query historical monthly player counts, growth rates, and live most-played games. It is for developers who need to analyze Steam game popularity over time without requiring a Steam Web API key.
- Retrieve monthly player count history for a specific game to track its engagement trend.
- Calculate player growth percentage over custom time windows (e.g., last 12 months, year-to-date).
- Get a live ranked list of the current top most-played games on Steam.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| get_time_series | Returns monthly concurrent player trend data points for a game, with date, normalized value (0-100), and optional absolute volume. |
| get_growth | Calculates player growth percentage and direction for a game over specified time windows (presets like 3M, 12M, YTD, or custom date ranges). |
| get_live | Returns the current top most-played games on Steam with rank and title, supporting pagination and optional category filtering. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
