What it does
Exposes Reddit discussion volume, subreddit growth trends, and live hot posts via the Trends API. Intended for developers who want historical and current Reddit attention data without using PRAW or the official Reddit API.
- Retrieve a time series of discussion volume for a subreddit to track how attention has changed over time.
- Calculate percentage growth for a subreddit over configurable windows such as 3M, 12M, or custom date ranges.
- Fetch the current Reddit Hot Posts feed with pagination to see what topics are trending right now.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| get_time_series | Returns a dated index series of Reddit discussion volume for a given keyword or subreddit. |
| get_growth | Returns percentage growth and direction for a subreddit over one or more specified time windows. |
| get_live | Returns the current Reddit Hot Posts feed with rank and label, supporting limit and offset pagination. |
| get_top_trends | Returns top trends for a specified feed type such as Reddit Hot Posts or Reddit World News. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
