What it does
This server exposes W-2 event staffing planning and pricing for 300+ markets across the US and Canada. It returns live structured data on roles, rates, compliance, and lead times for events like conventions, festivals, and corporate activations. Use it to plan temporary event staff and hand off confirmed orders to a coordinator.
- Query available roles, hourly rates, and lead-time guidance for a specific city and event date to build a staffing plan.
- Save a non-PII staffing plan snapshot and retrieve it later within a 30-day window using a plan ID.
- Get state-level employment compliance information like minimum wage and overtime rules to understand booking constraints.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| plan_staffing | Turns event details (city, date, roles, headcount) into a complete staffing plan with rates and may save a 30-day non-PII snapshot. |
| save_staffing_plan | Explicitly saves a complete plan with recomputed rates and totals from event inputs when no plan ID exists yet. |
| get_plan | Restores a complete non-PII staffing plan saved by plan_staffing or save_staffing_plan within a 30-day window. |
| get_cities | Lists configured planning entries with tier classification, optionally filtered by state or tier. |
| get_roles | Returns all event staffing roles with descriptions and skill tiers. |
| check_availability | Provides lead-time guidance for a city and date; not a real-time inventory check. |
| get_role_pricing | Returns all-inclusive hourly rate ranges for a role in a city, including W-2 pay, workers comp, and taxes. |
| get_compliance_by_state | Provides state-level employment compliance summary including minimum wage and overtime rules. |
| get_policies | Returns published booking and procurement policies with unsupported values marked for coordinator confirmation. |
| get_rate_benchmark | Returns the TempGuru Event Staffing Rate Index with W-2 rate benchmarks by role and methodology. |
| get_quote_status | Checks a TempGuru reference created after a buyer submits the website form or via REST. |
| request_quote | Non-PII buyer handoff that resolves a saved plan ID and returns a prefilled form URL for quote submission. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
