Taxlocus MCP server

What it does

TaxLocus exposes clean, weekly-updated US sales-tax rate tables as open data: state base rates, ~14,000 local jurisdiction rates, economic-nexus thresholds, and taxability matrices by product category. It also includes reference tables for US payroll taxes (federal, state, and local income tax). This is for developers building tax compliance features who need authoritative, citation-backed rate data.

• Look up the combined state and local sales-tax rate for a named jurisdiction to calculate tax on a transaction.
• Check economic-nexus thresholds by state to determine when a remote seller must register for sales tax.
• Query the taxability matrix to determine whether a product category is taxable, exempt, or reduced-rate in a given state.
