What it does
SlickFast is an MCP server that renders 47 chart and dashboard types (bar, line, pie, KPI, funnel, gauge, heatmap, gantt, etc.) as SVG or PNG from a JSON specification. It generates charts in milliseconds using a native engine with no headless browser, designed for AI agents to produce visualizations efficiently.
- Ask an AI agent to create a multi-chart dashboard and get a single PNG image back in one tool call instead of writing plotting code.
- Generate live chart images with permanent URLs that update automatically when data changes, for embedding in documentation or dashboards.
- Build charts programmatically by editing a simple JSON spec—swap chart types, change colors, or resize for different contexts without rewriting code.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| render | Render a single chart or multi-chart dashboard from a JSON spec to SVG or PNG. |
| gallery | Render a curated showcase of all 47 chart types as a demonstration dashboard. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
