What it does
RightCard MCP exposes credit card reward optimization tools backed by bank-published, two-source-verified reward data. It lets agents determine which credit card from a user-supplied list earns the most rewards at a given store or merchant category, including caveats like rotating quarters and merchant-code traps. It requires no bank login and stores nothing about the user.
- Ask which of your specific credit cards earns the best rewards at a given store, such as Costco or a grocery chain.
- Look up how a merchant is coded (category, merchant type, MCC) to understand why certain bonus categories may or may not apply.
- Browse current and upcoming rotating reward windows and permanent merchant benefits across cards.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| best_card | Returns which of the provided cards earns the most at a given store or category today, with relevant caveats. |
| lookup_merchant | Returns how a specific store is coded, including its category, merchant type, and any MCC-related caveats. |
| search_cards | Finds card IDs by name or issuer, flagging unverified entries. |
| card | Returns a single card's verified reward rates, rotating windows, and choose-your-category specifications. |
| rotating_calendar | Returns live and upcoming rotating reward windows along with permanent merchant benefits. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
