What it does
Ratevert MCP is a read-only server for searching and converting currencies, stocks, crypto, ETFs, and funds. It provides canonical asset identities, current conversion rates, data freshness timestamps, and citation URLs for AI agents.
- Search for canonical identifiers of financial assets across currencies, stocks, cryptocurrencies, ETFs, and funds.
- Get current exchange rates between two assets with source freshness and a URL to cite.
- Convert a specific amount from one asset to another and receive the exact rate, rounded display value, and data source.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| search_assets | Finds a canonical Ratevert currency, stock, ETF, fund, or crypto asset. |
| get_rate | Returns the current one-unit rate for two assets with a canonical pair URL. |
| convert_amount | Converts one stated amount and returns the exact rate, rounded display value, freshness, and source URL. |
| compare_assets | Compares one source asset with up to three target assets in one request. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
