What it does

Legalize provides access to a read-only corpus of consolidated legislation across multiple countries. It lets you query laws by date, search their history, and retrieve exact text with citations and git commit references. This is for developers building AI applications that need to reference legislation with verifiable sources.

  • Retrieve the exact wording of a law as it stood on a specific past date, with the git SHA for verification.
  • Search for legislation by title keywords or official number across the supported countries in the corpus.
  • Generate a unified diff showing what changed in a law between two dates, and see which other laws amended it.

Tools this server exposes

ToolDoes
list_countriesReturns which countries are in the corpus and the count of laws for each.
search_lawsFinds norms by keywords in title or official number, returning law identifiers.
get_lawReads the current wording of a law in full or retrieves a specific article.
law_at_dateReturns what a law said on a given historical date, including the git SHA of that version.
diff_lawShows changes to a law between two dates as a unified diff.
reform_historyLists which laws amended a given norm, when, and what each amendment touched.
law_statsReturns corpus size and change metrics.
preview_webhookTests a subscription rule against the last 30 days to show how many change events it would deliver.
create_webhookSubscribes an HTTPS endpoint to receive notifications of law changes, with optional filtering by country or keywords.

Before you enable it

An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
