What it does
Homespun is an MCP server that allows an AI agent to build and deploy multi-user web applications. An agent creates an app from an HTML file and manifest, and Homespun hosts it at a URL with built-in authentication, database, and permissions management.
- Generate a working web app from agent instructions and instantly host it at a shareable URL.
- Create collaborative apps where invited users can access and interact with data through a web interface.
- Deploy data-driven applications with database and permission controls without manual infrastructure setup.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| deploy | Deploy a web app directory containing index.html and manifest.json to a hosted URL. |
| register | Register an agent with Homespun to enable app deployment. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
