What it does

GLBForge provides a pipeline to make AI-generated 3D assets web-ready by analyzing performance against budgets, optimizing geometry and textures, and scaffolding viewers. It is for developers shipping 3D models from generators like Meshy or AI image-to-3D systems to the web.

  • Run `analyze` on a generated GLB to check if it meets performance budgets (mobile-hero, desktop-hero, product-configurator) and fail CI if it doesn't.
  • Optimize an AI mesh by simplifying geometry, compressing textures, and generating LODs to reduce file size while maintaining quality, then export the result as a web GLB.
  • Convert a 2D logo or graphic to 3D via `extrude` (deterministic tracing and extrusion) or generate 3D from images via Meshy or open-model providers like Hunyuan3D and TRELLIS.

Tools this server exposes

ToolDoes
analyze_glbAnalyze a GLB file against performance budgets and topology rules, returning a report card and lint-style violations.
optimize_glbOptimize a GLB by deduplicating, welding, simplifying, resizing textures, and compressing to hit a target triangle count or budget.
scaffoldEmit a React Three Fiber viewer scaffold for a GLB file.
meshy_create_taskCreate a Meshy API task to generate 3D from text or image.
meshy_task_statusPoll the status of a Meshy generation task.
meshy_downloadDownload the finished GLB output from a completed Meshy task.
extrude_imageConvert a 2D logo or graphic to 3D by tracing its silhouette, extruding it watertight, and projecting the image as texture.
list_profilesList available performance budget profiles (mobile-hero, desktop-hero, product-configurator).

Before you enable it

An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
