What it does
SPM exposes durable project memory to AI agents through an authenticated MCP endpoint. Agents can query, compose and contribute to project knowledge including requirements, decisions, completed work and context packs, with support for temporal queries, provenance tracking and cross-project composition.
- Coding agents access project requirements, decisions and completed work before making code changes.
- Delivery teams create scoped, time-limited memory packs with provenance and audit evidence for external partners or collaborators.
- Agent workflows preserve decisions, tests and evidence back to project memory after task completion.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| list_authorized_projects | List projects the authenticated token has access to. |
| get_project_memory | Query durable project memory including requirements, decisions, completed work and temporal state. |
| create_context_pack | Generate a scoped context pack with source-backed information and optional redaction for sharing. |
| query_context_graph | Query the context graph and boundaries within project memory. |
| report_action_evidence | Submit completed actions, tests, evidence and decisions back to project memory with source provenance. |
| verify_context_pack | Verify the provenance and hashes of a context pack. |
| run_preflight_checks | Run policy-aware preflight checks on proposed actions. |
| query_temporal_memory | Query project memory at specific points in time. |
| resolve_active_project | Resolve the active project for the current session. |
| create_workspace_manifest | Generate a body-free workspace manifest including Git state, file snapshots and remote version references. |
| refresh_workspace_manifest | Refresh workspace manifest to reflect current state without uploading local file bodies. |
| create_handoff | Create a short-lived one-time handoff to continue work in another agent or device. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
