What it does
Minds is a hosted MCP server that runs synthetic market research using AI-generated customer panels. It lets MCP clients such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor conduct concept testing, message testing, and segment comparison without leaving the assistant. The server builds audiences from population briefs grounded in web research, then runs structured studies and exports results in multiple formats.
- Create a synthetic audience from a population brief (e.g. 'enterprise IT buyers in fintech') and ask it questions to surface objections before a product launch.
- Run a structured multi-question study or MaxDiff exercise across a panel and export the results as PDF, CSV, XLSX, or JSON.
- Compare how different market segments react to ad copy, landing pages, or packaging concepts before committing to real-respondent fieldwork.
Tools this server exposes

| create_group_from_brief | Build a synthetic audience from a population brief using deep web research to ground it in statistics and studies. |
| ask_group | Survey or poll a single audience and return per-respondent answers. |
| list_panels | List existing panels, studies, surveys, and focus groups. |
| create_panel | Create a panel or study from a stated research goal. |
| ask_panel | Ask one question across an entire panel. |
| get_panel_status | Check panel composition and live progress on an in-flight question. |
| export_panel | Export panel results as PDF, CSV, XLSX, or JSON. |
| plan_panel_study | Draft a structured research plan for multi-question studies, asset audits, or MaxDiff. |
| run_panel_study | Execute a confirmed study plan as a durable server-side run. |
| get_panel_study | Check progress, artifacts, and method calculations for a running durable study. |
| list_research_methods | List supported research methods and indicate which ones can currently execute. |
| get_panel_summary | Return a whole-study summary with semantic blocks and heatmaps. |
| list_study_drafts | List reusable study-plan drafts saved in the connected workspace. |
| save_study_draft | Save a study plan as a reusable draft before execution. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
