What it does

An MCP server that lets coding agents build, test, and run iOS apps on a remote Mac fleet without requiring a local Mac or Xcode installation. It exposes XcodeBuildMCP-compatible tool names, so workflows written for local Mac setups transfer directly to remote execution.

  • Build and test an iOS or React Native app from a Linux machine or CI container by running build_sim or test_sim against a remote Mac.
  • Launch an iOS app in a remote simulator and get a browser URL to view the live session using build_run_sim.
  • Validate that a project's schemes resolve and Swift files parse correctly before committing, using check_project with no API key required.

Tools this server exposes

ToolDoes
discover_projsFind .xcworkspace, .xcodeproj, or Package.swift files in the local workspace.
list_schemesList shared schemes for a given project or workspace, resolved locally.
list_simsReturn available simulators, runtimes, and Xcode versions on the remote fleet.
check_projectValidate that schemes resolve, Swift files parse, and plists are valid on a remote Mac — no API key required.
build_simCompile the project for the iOS Simulator on a remote Mac and return file/line/column errors.
test_simBuild and run XCTest or Swift Testing tests on a remote Mac, returning per-test results.
build_run_simBuild, install, and launch the app in a remote simulator and return a browser URL to the live session.
stop_app_simEnd an active live simulator session.
archive_appProduce an unsigned .xcarchive in Release configuration on a remote Mac.
job_statusRetrieve status, diagnostics, test results, and log tail for any submitted job.
doctorCheck API key validity, API reachability, and fleet capabilities.

Before you enable it

An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
