What it does
The DevCycle MCP server enables AI coding assistants to manage feature flags, variables, variations, and targeting rules through a hosted MCP interface. It is for developers using Cursor or Claude who want to control feature flags programmatically from their AI assistant.
- Create, update, and manage feature flags and their targeting rules directly from Claude or Cursor.
- Detect and list where DevCycle variables are used in your codebase.
- Generate type definitions for type-safe usage of DevCycle variables in TypeScript projects.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| feature_flag_management | Create, update, and manage features, variables, variations, and targeting rules in DevCycle. |
| self_targeting_overrides | Manage self-targeting overrides to quickly switch between variable values. |
| codebase_analysis | Detect and list DevCycle variable usages in your codebase. |
| type_generation | Generate type definitions for type-safe DevCycle usage in TypeScript. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
