Pagespeed Insights MCP server
What it does
Measures web pages with Google PageSpeed Insights by running multiple distinct analyses and reporting the median score with min-max spread, to show measurement uncertainty. Also reports real-user performance data from the Chrome UX Report when available. For developers and performance engineers who want reliable, repeatable performance measurements rather than single-run results.
- Measure web page performance with confidence intervals by running multiple analyses and showing the spread between runs.
- Compare lab measurements against real Chrome user data to understand the gap between simulated and actual performance.
- Detect real performance regressions by comparing before-and-after measurements and only flagging changes where the ranges do not overlap.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| measure_page | Runs multiple PageSpeed Insights analyses on a URL and reports the median scores with min-max spread, plus Chrome UX Report real-user data if available. |
| compare_measurements | Compares two performance measurements and reports whether differences are real or within measurement noise. |
| get_lcp_breakdown | Breaks down Largest Contentful Paint into its four phases (server, discovery, download, paint) to identify the bottleneck. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
