What it does
This server provides access to Reserve Bank of Australia statistical data through plain-English queries. It exposes current and historical RBA rates (cash rate, lending rates, deposit rates) and exchange rate data, allowing LLM clients like Claude to answer questions about Australian financial indicators with real, current numbers.
- Query the current RBA cash rate or other monetary policy rates without latency or approximation.
- Retrieve historical exchange rate series (AUD/USD, AUD/EUR, AUD/GBP, TWI) for analysis or comparison across time periods.
- Look up current mortgage rates, term deposit rates, or other retail lending and deposit rates published by the RBA.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| search_tables | Fuzzy-search RBA F-tables by name or topic. |
| describe_table | Return a plain-English series listing for one RBA F-table. |
| get_data | Query data from an RBA F-table by series, with optional date range and output format (records, series, or CSV). |
| latest | Retrieve the most-recent observation for a requested series. |
| list_curated | List the five F-table IDs with hand-curated plain-English support (money market rates, deposit rates, housing lending rates, monthly and daily exchange rates). |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
