What it does
This server exposes APRA (Australian Prudential Regulation Authority) statistical data through plain-English queries. It provides access to bank capital ratios, superannuation fund data, and insurance statistics for all prudentially-regulated entities in Australia, updated quarterly.
- Query bank capital metrics like CET1 ratios and risk-weighted assets for individual banks or the industry.
- Search superannuation fund statistics including member counts, benefits, and demographics by fund.
- Retrieve general and life insurance data post-AASB17, including gross written premiums, claims, and product breakdowns across time periods.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| search_datasets | Fuzzy-search the curated APRA dataset catalog by keyword. |
| describe_dataset | List a dataset's available filterable dimensions and returnable measures. |
| get_data | Query APRA data with filters, measures, period range, and output format options. |
| latest | Retrieve the most recent observation for each measure in a dataset. |
| top_n | Rank and return the top or bottom N rows by a specified measure. |
| list_curated | Enumerate all available curated dataset IDs. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
