What it does
This server provides semantic search over 50,000+ food recipes from Food.com using hybrid retrieval (dense embeddings + BM25 sparse search) with reranking. It supports natural language queries in English and Norwegian, with filters for diet, cooking time, and difficulty level, and is designed for AI agents and LLMs.
- Find recipes that match a natural language description like 'quick Italian pasta for weeknight dinner' with optional dietary and time constraints.
- Retrieve detailed recipe information including ingredients, instructions, nutritional data, ratings, and cooking time for a given query.
- Integrate recipe search into AI agent workflows to suggest meals based on conversational input in English or Norwegian.

Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
This server has not seen a commit in 2 mo. It may still work, but nobody is currently fixing it — check the alternatives before you build on it.
