What it does
Adrkit is an MCP server that provides read-only access to architecture decision records (ADRs) stored in git. It exposes a decision memory system for coding agents to query which ADRs govern specific files or changes, without making network or model calls.
- Query which architectural decisions apply to a specific file or code path in your project.
- Validate that proposed changes comply with recorded architectural decisions in CI/CD pipelines.
- Feed prior architectural decisions to coding agents so they make changes consistent with project governance.
Tools this server exposes
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| query_decisions | Find which ADRs affect a given file path or code location. |
| list_adrs | List all architecture decision records in the corpus. |
| get_adr | Retrieve the full content of a specific ADR by ID. |
Before you enable it
An MCP server runs with whatever access you give it. Start with a development account rather than production, and check which tools the server exposes before you let an agent call them unattended.
